Oath of office

As a member of the medical profession:
I solemnly promise to devote everything to the service of humanity;
the health and well-being of patients will be my primary concern;
I will respect the autonomy and dignity of patients;
I will uphold the highest respect for human life;
I will not allow age, illness or disability, beliefs, ethnicity, gender, nationality, political party, race, sexual orientation, social status or any other considerations to come between my duty and my patients;
I will respect the confidentiality entrusted to me, even if the patient is dead;
I will maintain conscience and dignity in the practice of medicine and follow correct medical standards;
I will uphold the honor and noble traditions of the medical profession;
I will respect and thank my teachers, colleagues and students who love me;
I will share my medical knowledge for the benefit of patients and the advancement of medical and health care;
I will pay attention to my health, happiness and ability, and provide the highest standards of care services;
even if threatened, I will never use my medical knowledge to infringe on human rights and freedoms;
I solemnly, voluntarily and on my personality.

我將尊重所寄託給我的秘密，即使病人已經離世；
我將在醫學實踐中保持良知與尊嚴，遵從正確的醫學規範；
我將維護醫療職業的榮譽和高尚的傳統；
我將尊重及感謝愛戴我的師長、同事與學生；
我將為病人的利益和醫療衛生事業的進步，分享我的醫學知識；
