Man Saves License Plates After Typhoon

A man in a yellow raincoat got off his scooter. He was holding a plastic bag.
He walked into a police station. What was he doing there?
穿著黃色雨衣的男人，下了機車，提著一袋塑膠袋走進警察局。他在做甚麼呢?

This happened after a typhoon hit Taiwan. The typhoon was one of the
strongest in a long time. Kaohsiung was hit with floods! The flood water was
high. It wrecked cars, scooters, and other vehicles.
強烈颱風來襲後，高雄淹大水，許多汽車跟機車都遭殃。

License plates are on the front and back of vehicles. They have numbers and
letters on them. The flood made hundreds of license plates come off!
車牌通常裝在汽車的前面跟後面，上面有數字跟字母，好幾百面車牌因為淹水從車子脫落。

After the typhoon, the man was riding home from work. He saw license plates
everywhere! He was worried. Someone could use them to do bad things!
颱風過後，這名男子下班騎車經過，看到地上到處都是車牌，他擔心會有人把它們撿走做壞事。

So the man stopped. He got off his scooter. He picked up every license plate
he saw. On the first day, he found seven. After that, he found more. He saved
18 license plates!
所以他停了下來，把他看到的每一面車牌撿起來。第一天就撿到了 7
面，之後越撿越多，總共撿到 18 面車牌!

So why was the man at the police station? He gave them the license plates.
People were happy. Some gave him a reward!
男子把所有車牌交給警察，車牌的主人很開心，有一些還給了他獎勵!

The man didn't pick up license plates for rewards. He did it because he's
kind!

There's nothing you can do now. 你現在可沒辦法了。
I know. But what if it's flooded again? 我知道，但是假如它又淹了怎麼辦?
I need to ride it to work tomorrow. 我明天得騎車上班。

4. Typhoon Day 颱風假。
Tomorrow could be another Typhoon Day. 明天也許又放颱風假。
