Stamps of a Taiwan Sports Star

We buy stamps at the post office. We put them on letters.
我們會在郵局買郵票，黏在信封上。

Stamps have pictures. Each picture shows what is important to Taiwan. There
are many kinds of pictures. There are animals and trains. There are fruits
and flowers. And there are people!
郵票上會有圖案，有時候是動物或火車，有水果跟花，有時候則是名人的照片，重點是他們對台灣很重要!

This year, a 30-year-old sports star is on Taiwan's stamps. Tai Tzu-ying is a
badminton player. At 22 years old, she was the number one women's singles
badminton player in the world!
今年， 30 歲的羽球明星戴資穎被印在郵票上。她在 22 歲那年榮獲女子單打世界冠軍!

The next year, Tai did not go to the international badminton games in the UK.
Taiwan was hosting a big international sports event at the same time. Tai
wanted to welcome everyone to Taiwan!
之後一年，小戴沒有去英國的比賽，因為台灣當時正要舉辦世大運，她希望吸引更多人來台灣!

Tai was the number one player for more than four years.
超過四年的時間裡，小戴一直維持世界冠軍。

Tai was busy. She got her Ph.D. She became a doctor! Dr. Tai said when you
have a hard time, "you can cry, you can be sad, but you must never give up."
她還是很忙碌，她拿到了博士學位! 戴博士說:遇到困難時可以難過，但絕對不能放棄!

Tai is important to Taiwan. Taiwan is important to Tai! What a great person
to put on Taiwan's stamps!
