[Times reporter Ye Shian] Ardentec (3264) Singapore subsidiary held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new factory (factory 2) located in Singapore Woodlands Industrial Park on Tuesday. The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Lou Yongsong, chairman of the Singapore subsidiary, and invited Zheng Zhennan, senior vice president and head of semiconductors at the Singapore Economic Development Board, and Zhong Weili, director of the biomedical and electronics cluster group of the Jurong Authority, to provide guidance. Many customer guests were also invited to participate. Dr. Lu Zhiyuan, chairman of Ardentec also extended his congratulations via video.
This new factory is the second factory of the Singapore subsidiary and the 14th factory of Ardentec Group in the world. The factory building is designed to be 6 stories high and will comply with Singapore's famous Green Mark Platinum Label. It is expected to be completed in 2024. The operation of the entire factory will increase the clean room space by 12,000 square meters, more than doubling Ardentec's existing manufacturing capacity in Singapore. Together with the initial construction of factories and production lines, it is expected that US$250 million will be invested over six years to expand Singapore's advanced testing capabilities and train more high-quality engineering talent. After completing its stock listing in China in 2005, Ardentec began to expand globally in 2006. Its first overseas investment factory was located in the Woodlands Industrial Park in Singapore, and Ardentec Group has developed into an important partner for global heavyweight semiconductor companies in their expansion into Asia. The new plant represents a new milestone in Ardentec's development in Singapore and will be dedicated to advanced semiconductor testing projects such as high-end computing, 5G communications and automotive applications. Ardentec’s headquarters just held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Longtan Factory in Hsinchu Science Park in June 2022 and will respond to the continued innovation and growth of international customers and the layout of the international supply chain.

本座新廠是新加坡子公司的第2座工廠、欣銓集團在全球的第14座工廠，廠房設計為6層樓高，將符合新加坡著名的綠色標誌白金標章，預計在2024年竣工，整廠運轉將可增加1.2萬平方米的無塵室空間，使欣銓在新加坡的現有製造產能提高一倍以上。連同初期的廠房與生產線興建，預計將在6年內投資2.5億美元，擴大新加坡先進測試產能，訓練培養更多優質工程人才。
欣銓於2005年在國內完成股票掛牌上櫃後，自2006年開始布局全球，第一座海外投資廠房就在新加坡兀蘭工業園區，並使欣銓集團發展成為全球重量級半導體公司布局亞洲的重要夥伴。本座新廠代表著欣銓在新加坡深耕發展的新的里程碑，並將致力於高端計算、5G通信和汽車應用等先進的半導體測試項目。欣銓總部甫於2022年6月舉行新竹科學園區龍潭廠的動土典禮，並將因應國際級客戶持續的創新與成長，以及國際供應鏈的布局發展，穩健地在國內外持續投資，以因應半導體產業的創新發展趨勢。
